About this guide
Where The Rail's money comes from
Three paid links on The Rail's home page earn this guide a commission. No casino or poker room pays for anything on it, and links to casinos are never paid.

Three links marked Ad
Three paid links exist on this site, all of them on the home page. One sits in the menu. The second is set in a block just under the first screen, and the third appears near the bottom of the page. Each one is labelled Ad, and all three of them lead visitors to a single online casino partner.
The site receives a commission from that partner. Because the partner may change, no page here gives its name. Every other page on the site carries no paid link at all.
Who never pays
Casinos and poker rooms never pay this site. Neither do AGLC, Play Alberta or help services. Whether it points to a casino or to a help service, a link here is a plain one and is never paid for.
No room is placed above another here, and no place in a list is for sale. The Rail reports what each room publishes: tables, games, hours. It gives no playing advice, no strategy and no view on which room is better.
Questions from the rail
Does a casino pay to appear on The Rail?
No casino pays to appear here. The site takes no money from casinos, poker rooms, AGLC, Play Alberta or help services, and casino links are never paid for.
Why does the site not name its online casino partner?
Since the partner may change, the site leaves it unnamed. On the home page, the three Ad-marked links share one destination, that partner, and it pays the site a commission.
